I do not blame this young lady for not returning to her socialist home country. Now that she has tasted true freedom perhaps she will immigrate somewhere better.
I imagine Youth Services in the Netherlands were taking her best interests in concern when they threatened to remove the child from her parent, but to intimidate her is wrong.
As a former sailor I commend her on her feat and wish her fair seas and following winds.

We would really like to see more of Ruth’s story more often. Don’t give up on your story like so many other blogs do.
I have more Ruth stories to post. Real life has been keeping me busy and we got an unusual amount of snow for this area that managed to bring everything to a halt. I know the rest of the country thinks Seattle is silly for freaking over a foot of snow but it is highly unusual for this area. There is only one snow plow in my area. I should get some more Ruth stories posted soon.
